Look at the Inertia Line!
I watched some Pro's thrashing on the heli's where I fly and the tail was rock solid locked in and thumping....

I waiting for mine now....

The Inertia is a real sleeper. Too many folk insist on the big name stuff and overlook the new kid on the block. Nice gyro, nice price, and the darn thing out of the box is amazing with respect to performance.

I may have to give one a shot, I've heard a lot of good stuff about them.

Zaneman, good post!

The old ones are all drift puppies and the new one, the 770, is more fun to set up than a lego set.
Yeah , it took me nearly two whole minutes to set up my 770 ! I never had any trouble with my 490T (500T) gyros either . Having said that , I think that I prefer the CSM720 .

At the end of the day , it gets dark .

Finally got some time with my 520 and 8900G for hard 3D. Amazing gyro, super easy to set up, smooth and consistent from the and definitely better than the 611 and the thing is freakin' tiny! Just slapped it on 3D mode after trying f3C mode and its nicely aggressive without being too hard on the tail. I had the 7703D for quite a while and just could never get it set up quite right.

Ive got the Solid-G and the Mini-G and ive played about with them with the G-view as you do and I can honestly say I like the Align GP750 3D gyro better! The tail just feels more predictable to me.

All modern Gyro's work quite well. If you're not a hardcore 3d flyer, then save some money and get the Gy401.

I currently have the Inertia 860 and it's a great gyro and priced nicely. I do like the JR770/8900g. In the past I have used the gy611, and it is very nice as well.

The current gyro market is awesome! So many excellent choices for the consumer, one really can't go wrong with any of the modern gyros.

Any gyro will hold the tail, the rest is how good the pilot is. The best would be the cheapest and easiest to setup IMO. In my eyes that is the Align GP750 3D gyro.

Gyro
Spartan all the way coupled with a JR8900 servo and you got the best on the market.

Surely a shorter pulse width tail servo would be better?

Better technically? Maybe.

Better to the point the average joe could tell the difference? I doubt it.
