So did anyone brave the damp cold day and get some flying in?

Yup first 3 flights of the year, wow like starting over after three months off. Just a note I added an Efuel guage in line telemetry sensor that measures actual mah used during flight, so after my flights I can say that the little gizmo battery checkers we use need some re-consideration. After a flight when you read 20% (in this case was 3.8v) on the gizmo this means you still have20% left to fly before reaching the 20% capacity that should be left in the battery after a flight(3.7v). After my 6.5 min flight at a lower head speed I used 2640 +/- mah (actually 2648); the timer alarm had activated at 4.5 min but the telemetry sensor wasnt even at 50% per the mah used so I continued to fly to 6.5 min reaching 2640 mah. After i landed the gizmo said 21% and respectfully 3.8v-3.79v per cell. the 2640 mah used equates to 60% of a 4400mah pack and the gizmo said 20%+/-. After landing and recharging the pack I replaced 2200mah at 95% +/-so to summarize when your battery checker says 20% it means 20% left to fly and landing voltage should be closer to 3.7v per cell. So if your flying a 4 minute timer and landing with 20% on the gizmo increase your timer +1minute. I'll be flying actual mah used, watch out nitro!
WooHoo I flew today f-inn cold and the roads a muddy mess.

@Rich
Welcome to the world of telemetry. Our little battery checkers are nice to use as a ball park reference and cell balance checker but the mah put back in by the charger is the most accurate way to determine what was taken out. Having real time Mah consumed is a real plus. If you have different head speeds and vary your flying style. You just fly until you hit the 80% used mark.

It is surprising to see how much this can vary in flight time. Fly hard 3D and you can hit 80% used in 3-4 minutes. Drop the head speed and fly sport and you can get 7-9 minutes before you hit 80% used. I have found the mah sensor to be within 20-50mah of what I put back in with the charger.

Gotta love technology.

Yeah no big vertical lifts but alot of skating around and repositioning of wood blocks. Tight quarters. The riggers and steam fitters are a great crew.

Working on removing old base board, finish spackle and pulling up old carpet.If the weather was better the work crew would call in sick.

Anybody want a 2.5 foot by 8 foot mirror before I break it up to throw it out?
