With all the talk about CoG issues in the whiplash thread I decided to create the added holes for the battery tray at this point. Should I run into the problem due to component placement I can easily re locate the tray.

I decided to do it a little different then Bobby's fix. I have the tray located 1 1/8" forward. The rear of the tray is raised 3/8" and the fromt of the tray is lowered 3/8". This should have minimal impact on the original designed vertical CoG.

My soldering iron came in. I got everything soldered except I screwed up one of the bullets on the motor. Solder in the expansion grooves. I will order another one on Monday. Perhaps by Christmas I maiden the Furion 6.

I enjoy building them as much as flying. This is a well made kit. Fit is very precise. Every bolt that goes through a side frame into a bearing block or frame support matches exactly. Nice to see we can still machine stuff within a .001".
