It's funny this should come up. Last time I saw Skybob flying his plank, I started to feel I missed mine. Havent flown it in some time. Maybe I'll bring it.

Hey, maybe we should build a little strip off to the side somewhere.

Part of that reason is because you do too much of this.

How many regular heli fliers do we have here, 10? If you are not a regular, don't feel pressured to participate.

I say we take a collection and at least pay for Ed's 2012 membership to show some appreciation.

Here is my $5. If the collection doesn't come up to full membership fee, I'll fill in the rest.

If he already paid his dues, perhaps he can use it toward his first plank.

The weather looks good for Sunday, I'll bring $5 to help out. The field looked very nice last weekend, not sure who mowed and ran the weed eater but, Thanks to whom ever worked on it. (I guess I should stop procrastinating and send in my dues)

That won't do for the new members.

But, holding off John Candy would be greatly appreciated by the whole club.

I am starting to develop allergic reaction to that guy.

I think the one in the back might be a good trainer for Ed.

I'm in for the collection, but I say instead of dues, we get him a real plank.
No Ed. that little stryker does not count, you need a real ugly trainer type of plane like we all started on

So, without owning a Dremel, what's the smartest way to expand the mounting holes on a new canopy for the grommets? I was going to pickup new blades first, but I couldn't pass up this canomod for $29. I really don't want to take a razor to it if not necessary.

Do not use the drill bit as it will crack the gel coating.

You can use the reamer but you have to wet sand the edges clean. The best method I've found is to use the Irwin Unibit. This will not crack the gel coat and open up holes in a gradual step. But the bit is a bit expensive. Home depot sells it.

@Benny and the rest of you guys.

The kind thoughts are greatly appreciated but keep your money for fuel and Heli parts. If you are going to use it on plane parts then I will take the donation as I don't want to see good money go to waste.

I do what I do at the field because I have some spare time and want to make it a better place for all of us including the plane pilots.

Worth it weight in gold for grommet holes.

@ Al
You must have heard a rumor as there is no evidence of me flying a mini Stryker.
Just undocumented sightings.

Since you do what you do with your spare time, the rest of us will do what we can on our free will.

I would have voted for honorary membershp but not sure if that idea will fly. So, this was next best thing.

What I said stands and I will chip in more if less than $50 is collected.

Afterall, I saved enough from getting BeastX instead of V-Bar. I suppose those with V-bar don't have to chip in. You will have to save up for the next firmware upgrade fee.

Johnny - This is fun. LOL
