Phoenix help
After realizing the DX5i that came with the sim really sucks, I've listened to John, Ed, and Al and ditched it and decided to use my 8FG.

I created a new model in the transmitter and I've calibrated radio in Phoenix.

Q1 - I want to assign switch SE for idle up instead of #3 and switch SH for throttle hold instead of #1 on the keyboard. I cannot figure out how to do this. I saw where you can assign what ever switch or key to any channel, but Phoenix doesn't see these switches.

Q2 - I've added cyclic expo in the radio, but it still reacts too quickly (unrealistically). In general, everything responds unrealistically fast. not sure how to slow everything down to respond similar to the real thing
--does phoenix not see expo in radio?
--do I need to add expo in Phoenix?
--do i need to slow something down in the software?

Please help, as I have been crashing too much at the field and really need sim time, but as it is now, the sim is so unrealistic that it is of little use. Thanks!

Hi Scott

sounds like you may have to re calibrate your radio to phoenix, first go to system and then click your transmitter. then check to see if your sticks are calibated 1-6 then your idle up switch and throttle hold. if they are not then click the calibrate on top right corner. for me thottle hold is on channel 7 and 8 is idle up. as for expo you can use the radio or you can go to model then click edit and tame it down there on the bottom you will see a circle that says setup beginner intermediate and advanced click on arrow to move it to where you like it and suits you all models are set to intermediate and for some it is to advanced to begin with. I hope this helps you.

Pheonix
Slowing down the simulation rate also helps. Try 90% and see how that feels.

@ Scott if your switches are assignable on your radio make sure they are as you use them at the field before calibration.
