Are they on 72mhz? And if so, what is the length of the antennas that are on them now?

Seriously, there's a demand for these. I've got a line up of fella's looking for custom antennas. Please reply with tech specs at your earliest convenience.

Cheers,

Patrick

Patrick, I was being serious. What is your freq. and what is the length of your antenna? I listed the spec's early in this post but here they are again;

they are a Deans copy (and about the same size)...all whip antennas use the same size chokes. It works just like the Deans or any of the other whip antennas out there. It works on 72 MHz and 75 MHz but of course these will not work for 2.4 GHz.

Thanks! Mark

Sorry HRC,
I misread your previous post, not realizing the question was directed at me specifically; thanks for the info.

Currently running: 72 MHz futaba 5014 @ 510mm, and 72 MHz R138dp with the stock 950mm lead.

Patrick, The antennas I make are for receivers (72mhz&75nhz) that have an antenna length of between 36" and 39" (914mm-991mm)....so it will work with your R138DP because the antenna length on it is around 37" (950mm). But not sure about the "5014" since its antenna length is only around 20" (510mm). I've never tested it on anything this short. I never knew Futaba had a 72mhz receiver with an antenna this short. Of course there is small "give or take" factor with the lengths of antennas before you "de-tune" them to the point where it will cause problems but I wouldn't trust a 16" difference.
I think you would need a whip antenna that has a different value choke that is tuned for a 20" length. I may be able to build you one for the "5014" but the problem is, I have no way of testing it and I'm not comfortable giving somebody something that I personally haven't tested myself. Mark

I'd go with a stock length for the 5014, as it had been trimmed(in hindsight) for its current application.

I'll get some numbers together and shoot you an order.

Thanks for all the help, look forward to trying a few out!

Cheers,

Patrick
