the stock tail blades are one of the few parts that i didn't have problems with on my 700
Just found the above quote on the 700 forum from an 'Align Fan' - says it all really!!3D?? No - just another input error!!!

2 600N, 1 600E, 1 700N, 1 450pro. They all have their issues and there's ALWAYS a solution to the problem! They're cheap to buy. Part availability and pricing is second to none. I bought stuff to FLY not to put on a pedestal and drool over. Is your stuff better than mine? Who gives a crap...I'll bet I have more fun than you do.

I think I would put up with the issues if I got free helis,parts and maybe a salary from Align.....but as I don't and I have to spend my own money I will choose quality over MR X flies Align so it must be good.

Why cry about Align? Align has helped the hobby grow and if we want better products, $ talks. Many people have spent money on Align and ventured into other product lines. If you do not like Align, do not buy their products. The way I see the issue is we have more people spending money and the competition will bring about better products.

I currently have four Align helicopters. I started with a 450 SE V1, followed by a 450 SA and then two 250 Super Combos. The SE has to be well over two years old now, with the SA over a year. Both are still on the original Align main and tail rotor blades. After too many flights to rattle off the top of my head, all I've done to these machines was preventive maintenance. I've cleaned and relubricated the bearings. I've replaced gears and pinions. And I've replaced the tail rotor belts. All this is nothing more than what should be done anyway.

My 250's have been completely trouble free, including the Align electronics.

Having been involved with Radio Control since 1968 with both air and ground applications and having used a wide range of products, my personal opinion is that the Align products are reasonable and perform as expected for their price range.

I think the problem with some Align users is like buying a Cobalt and expecting it to perform like a Corvette. Or, for you Ford fans, buying a Focus and expecting it to perform like a Shelby.Gerry Cullan,

I think I know where the problem really lies. If
you're still having problems with Align and this
forum hasn't been beneficial to you personally, you
may want to stick with some more familiar brands
like Losi, Associated, CEN, or Traxxus perhaps.
That's the real problem (and too much PC time with
very little stick time).

Good point about the R/C car products. As race-ready as these items are promoted to be, I've never raced any of these products in an "out of the box" condition. And I had been a staunch Associated and Coralli racer for years. I've even raced Losi products. Anyone remember the original X2, let alone still have one?

I've been involved in this hobby long enough to remenber when we had to make most of our parts. Even most commercial parts required some sort of modification.

My first two helis were were a Schluter HeliBaby and Heliboy. At one time they were state-of-the-art. Just about anything today is way beyond these machines.

ANY hobby on ANY forums, it doesn't matter how much you paid for your stuff, other people who paid more money for theirs will always snob others that paid for an inferior product... happens on camera forums, aquarium forums, all types of RC forums, motorcycle forums, bicycle forums, wristwatch forums, etc... i've been on other hobbies where i decided to splurge on THE ITEM that everyone is touting to be one of the best... got it, was really excited about it for a couple of weeks then it's just "meh"... of all the hobby items that i've decided to splurge on to buy THE ONE, the only one that really had it's merit to me has been the Canon 24-70mm f2.8 lens... and even that lens has it's fair share of haters... so really, it doesn't matter how much you paid for your stuff, people will call you ignorant this or that because you like what you have without having tried the more expensive ones... or self professed experts will say that they have the right to comment and you don't because they have tried everything else and you have not... but once you do try the more expensive stuff, you'll soon realize that even those have their annoying quirks and have their own haters... it really doesn't end...

Align helis do have their quirks and annoyances and they may not be the best but instead of the self professed experts backing up their comments and credibility with what they own, at least back it up with a show of skill... because really, regardless of differences in quality and price, after the newness and wow factor wears off, it's the skills that make the difference...

some people are so bothered by "ignorant" people thinking Align is the best... for people touting Raves, Furions, Mikados, etc. as the best, there are people who paid more for their helis who are thinking the exact same thing about you...

if there is a rosary forum for nuns and priests, they'll probably be going at it with each other the same way as how people are on this forum...

Fellas, I think I have the solution. I have a Trex SA with many upgrades, hours and hours of time and many crashes. I also have a V2 that I finally broke the motor in a crash(that was a good one). I never had the production problems that you guys seem to have because I bought them all used. Somebody else fixed them for me before I bought it! All this time I thought I was a fool for buying used. Thanks for opening my eyes. Oh yeah I know know quality, I have Blade CP!!!!stupid gravity......

What Ive found with Align`s is there almost as reliable as the family car unless you crash em, I ended up haveing to change my main shaft not long ago because it actually starting going rusty.
