YS 56SR pressurizes the fuel tank from the backplate. So no connection from the pipe is needed. |

breyman2000, what makes you think the YS56 is any of what you state? My experience with the YS 50 and 91 leads to think the YS 56 is not as well balanced, powerful or easy to tune as the OS55. Long stroke engines are never very smooth unless equipped with a secondary balancer. That's why single cylinder, long stroke engines are known as thumpers. The rocking couple vibration (90° to the piston motion and radial to the flyweight/crank) is very high without a balancer shaft to reduce side to side forces. My SDX and 700N almost disintegrated from the vibration levels of the YS engines. The SDX now has a NovaRossi 57 and the 700N has an OS91HZ. Both are far superior to the YS's IMO.Also, ever notice that YS doesn't publish power figures? The YS 50 is far weaker than the OS50 Hyper in my experience. Save some money and get a better engine by passing on the YS. |

Can anyone say for certain anything about the OS-55 vs. YS-56?I don't think more than a handful of people on this website have experience with BOTH engines. And history is no viable indicator. In the past, certain OS's have been better than certain YS's and certain YS's have been better than certain OS's.Until both these engines have been owned, flown, and tried by certain individuals, we can banter on about which is "better" without end. But how reliable would our information be?Buy what you like, but take any "this one is better" information with a grain a gigantic salt. No one knows. |
