Any news when update for the Gyroboot 700 will be avaliable ???

I have noticed some wobeling during piroueting too with my Trex 700, i thing the system need piroueting optimization.

If I compared to AC-3x the performance is near, only the piroueting is better perpormed with AC 3x.

Regards

AC3X...
I would love to try one of the AC3's...but they are pretty pricey

So you think the g700 is about the same performance?

I haven't heard anything new on the piro opt lately...I did hear that they are "working on it" thoguh and are very aware of the fact that they need it..

Other than piros being a slight bit "wobbly" looking the 700 works good for me...

After all gyroboot cost mee ewen more than AC-3x ( And I still do not have piro optimization wich I hope will bee free of charge when will come out)

So far works AC-3X with no complains - flavesly, awsome,,,,.

I was the one that was told by LF (via email) the Piro Optimization was "coming soon".

I work with many companies in Germany and "coming soon" usually means within a year, so don't sit at the edge of your chair waiting for it.

Jag, you might want to change the title to back to "we need piro opt"... or whatever.

Piro Opt...
I am a team pilot for Esprit Models

They are a reseller for Gyrobots here in the USA...and they talk to Lutz all the time as well...Esprit is really trying to get Lutz to "speed up" the "coming soon" process.....I know he is VERY aware of the piro opt issue...but Lutz also feels that if fast servos are used then it really isn't an issue...I'm not sure that I disagree ..

I upped my gyrobot servo speed settings to "high Speed" and it did help.....I was able to fly piro funnels and patterns all over the place this morning with no issues at all...

Regardless...it would be great to have the piro opt...just to know it's there

A faster update rate will help but as you've found out isn't the complete solution.

What does fast servo mean nowadays?

The servo setting menu in the Bot is also something that needs to be addressed by LF...

Unless I have one of the few servo options listed, how do I know I'm driving my non-listed servos at the proper rate???

Yes, I could cross reference, but that's a band-aid since we don't know what's going on behind the scenes... Is servo frame rate really that proprietary???

Servos...
I was told that Lutz stated that the Bls451/452 and 9451/9452's are okay to run on "high speed"...

Those are relatively slow speed servos compared to 8717's...so if you have anything as fast as or faster than the 9452's then High Speed should be okay...

AC3X...
I was just told by a friend of mine that the AC3X is not sold in the USA?

He received an email from them saying they could not send them to the US?

Anyone in the US have one? Sounds weird that they wouldn't sell to the US

Who is "we", who is demanding? You mean the Europeans are just beginning to climb down from the trees ??
After all: V-Stabi, Byrobot, AC-3x are all German and I still didn´t have the the possibility to try out the first US-designed and -made FBL electronics
btw AC-3X: I have 2 and they are as good as V-Stabi 4.0

Jag: I cannot imagine Stefan doesn´t deliver to the US. I know him personally, so if you want I can ask him if it is really so and if yes, which reasons are for that

Hahahaha. I was waiting to see who would comment first. "We" are the Americans. 75% of the companies I deal with are from Europe and they tell me that because we always want more and we question everything! It's all good.

Doesn't appear the the European community is demanding piro opt like we are. Even though the others (minus SK360) include it as standard.

Lutz says it isn't necessary, but "we" know better.

It's more about perception than realilty.

Piro opt should be standard...

Pls. don´t forget:
Lutz is businessman and not a Heli-Pilot and as any other business owner will always argue in favour of his product.
Knowing the comunities on both sides of the pond I can tell you that on average the European customers are MUCH more demanding concerning the standard and quality of their technical equipment and do not mind at all spending extra bucks for high-end components. F.ex. 80 pct. of ESC´s used in model helis in Germany are Kontronik Jazz or Jive,15 pct. YGE (for the demanding: also a German manufacturer) and the remaining 5 pct are CC and all the Chinese crap. In the US the distribution is exactly the other way around and people much more apreciate a low price over quality
Or look at the V-Stabi Forum: The volume of the German version is like 20-fold of the English and I do not beleive that the reason for this is that US-users are contributing to the German speaking version
Hope that the Probar, which is beeing already released for something like 2 years (!!) will satisfy all of us who know and are demanding

David, I guess you didn't see the sarcasm in my comments...

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion and perspective.

So much for humor, we'll just stick with the details...as long as they don't cost too much...
