60 bucks for 2 frame sides on a 450... ouch

I also thought the (L)(R) meant that both sides were included for 30 bucks (which I thought was an awesome price!! Even $40 wouldn't be too bad) Hopefully some cheaper fiberglass or aftermarket alternatives will be available in the future.

not really a crash but was hovering and hit the idle 1 and there went the main gear. the pinion wiped it clean. luckily it was only a few feet off and i auto'd it down. guess i am going to have to get some spare parts.

You might want to check your gear mesh next time around. Shouldn't wipe out your main gear switching to idle up.

It is a great flying heli. I just ordered replacement frame pieces. The repaired ones didn't hold up. Pricey frame.

1 piece of paper between the main gear at the loose spot would be very loose for the modulous used on a gear that size, and I would not think that would work for long. That method is for seting the gear mesh on a 50-90 size machine. I usually just set the mesh to where there is a very very small "click" or gap between the gears at the tight spot. I then check it all the way around to make sure there are no excessive loose spots, which I have never found there to be.

I hope this helps some.

What? Is that correct? That is pretty steep I must say. Thank God mine are ok. I just (has been a while) did most repairs yesterday. I'll add up cost.

I really have to say that my crash ended up costing me a ton. At first, I thought it was just the usual....

When I got around to the rebuild, things really added up! To the tune of about $150!

Entire tail from maingear rearward needed to be replaced! Also I bent the headblock, spindle shaft, main shaft, blades, control rods, maingear, tailgears, cracked frame which I repaired.

I love this heli but man a crash hurts! And this one really didn't seem that bad at the field.

Big bummer...

Oh well, all part of the hobby.
