Hi Guys,

I am converting my CP Pro to a Pro 2 and I ordered parts from horizon. They only had the ESC and tail motor heatsink in stock. The main and tail motors, prop and tail components are backordered. Did anyone order this stuff from Horizon? if so, how long did it take you to get them?

Nemesis,
It's crazy isn't it? EFlight comes out with a heli and doesn't stock the parts for MONTHS.

I've been waiting for tailfins for several months. I finally gave up and ordered aftermarket ones from Helidirect.

Sheesh!

I ordered a N60 tail motor from my LHS about Jan 09. I forgot about it as I found a GWS motor and prop as recommended in a RC Heli article. I finally recieved it in April.

The LHS was a Hobbytown. I don't know who their supplier is, but I figured they sell a lot of micro-helis.

The N60 mtr for the Pro 2 is not the same as the GWS 50XC. The GWS is not rated for 3S operation.

Yay, they finally got parts in stock and they are cheaper. They have the DD conversion for $14.99 on horizons website and the main motors are in stock. Funny how the individual parts are still out of stock.

I know they aren't the same.

In RC Heli Issue #11 June/July 2007, RC Heli Hook Up Blade CP Pro with John Adams. Adams who has something to do with Specktrum radios and Horizon, did a modification to his Blade. I was tired of waiting for the N60 and found a GWS motor and prop for around $10 that was the exact same model that he used in the article and I installed it. Whether it is wrong or not, I don't care as he seems to be an expert and it flys great.

Outragous!
I feel your pain Paranah. I had to order the "conversion kit" Nemesis found just to have some spares in case I crash.

eFlight has REALLY dropped the ball. I keep wanting to write them a nasty-gram to tell them how cr*ppy this is but I don't know who to send it to!

Depending on your parts needs, some parts are interchangeable between the Blade CP and the CP Pro. I don't have a CP Pro2, but I'm sure some are still interchangeable. The main deference were the head and electronics.

You're right - the only difference is the tail group. Bad news if you crash.

Actually the head stayed the same. The electronics changed and the tail changed for the better but the main thing and this is what people are complaining about is these parts are hard to find.

The Blade CP Pro head is not the same as the Blade CP. The head is different. The CP Pro 1 had Bell/Hiller mixers that made the head better that the original. The Blade CP Pro 2 maybe the same as the Blade CP, but as I said earlier, I don't know because I don't have that model at all. I just modified my CP Pro 1.

heads
CH-47, you are right, the PP Plus and CP Pro heads are different.

However, the old CP Pro and the new Pro V2 have the identical head with the Bell mixers.

I see. In my parts bin I have an original CP head. It can be modified to be a CP Pro2? If that's the case, it will give me an option in the future.

Yes it can be modified: you'll need to buy the newer blade grips (which have a mount for the mixers buit in) and the mixers. You'll also need the bell links that go to the swashplate.

I think horizon sells an upgrade kit with all this stuff in it.
