Hitec 81 or 65 on a carbsmart?
Just wondering which servo would fit the bill for managing the needle

Thanks.
It's easy to find an excuse to do wrong. Hard is not to find an excuse to do right.

Why spend so much money?

What about some of them $8 Hong Kong servos or maybe an eFlite S75 servo for about $12?

It's a needle valve! How much torque and speed do you actually need for this application?

Dood is right BUT, the servo you choose must be able to withstand the vibration. I'd vote for the hs81, they have always been pretty tough.

I've had good luck using a JR SM22 servo on my mixture controls. It is inexpensive and is one of the few small servos available that has rubber mounts for vibration protection.

Either one should work just fine, but as BJames111 states:"...must be able to withstand the vibration."Old Guys Rule!

I have run a hitec 65 on the Carb.smart in one of my Stratusses for over 300 flights....YS91SR engine.

But in the other Stratus (with OS91SZ) the hitec 5 did the servo died after aproxx. 30flight, now there is a Futaba s3150 (i think) in it....
