i sometimes have a couple of minor crashes a day. have to replace blade grips minor things. have learned what spare parts to keep on hand. it probably would help if i could wait to fly on days that were not so windy. but i don't know how to say no! i am addicted!

About 40 flights so far this year with 5 crashes, one of which is a major crash.

1st crash is on my T600N: the glow plug is loosened while I was flipping the heli. The engine quitted, but I manage to do the unplanned auto with hard landing. I only need a new set of landing struts. Since then, tighening the glow plug now becomes my preflight checklist. $6 of damage.

2nd crash is on my Evo50: did a planned autorotation, but wrong timing. I got a bent main and feathering shafts and a stripped servo. $15 of damage

3rd crash is on my TRex450: I did a bank turn in my backyard, and hit the tree. It broke the tail belt, bent the main shaft and broke a 325 pro blade. $20 of damage.

4th crash is on my Trex450: I inverted hover my Trex450 at my backyard. Suddenly a strong breeze came and it drifted the little heli towards the tree. I flipped it back, and no need to say, it hit the tree. It broke the tail belt and bent the tail boom. $10 of damage.

5th crash is on my TRex450, THE WORST ONE: I inverted hover my Trex450 at my backyard, it went too low that it dug into the ground. It bent the feathering and main shafts, stripped a servo, and bent a metal blade grip! $40 of damage.

Yet, I love this hobby very much!!

I'll never get get this, but...

I went to fly with this club for a fun fly a couple years ago. A lot of guys had TRex 450s, Walkeras, etc... There was one guy that had a couple completely tricked out 450s and a 600. He had them in his 14MZ radio he was constantly tinkering with. This guy couldn't fly for a damned. He could barely hover his 600. He crashed his 450s, then proceeded to fly everyone else's 450s and crash them. Of course, he blamed all those crashes on cheap radios. He scared the hell out of me with his 600.

What I'll never get is why everyone else let him crash their helis. They talked about it like it was a regular occurance. I wouldn't let that dude touch my gear with a TriFlow-soaked pinky, especially with his pompus attitude.

Anyway, that's the craziest I've seen.

I haven't "stuffed" one in a while, sure some minor boom tings and grass toss but I know it's out there looming....

The heli gods have been good lately, I am sure my time is coming!
I have never heard of eight (8) in a week, maybe he should do some searching as to why? Or learn to 3D higher!!!!!!

haha ... that is a poser with a 14MZ,

I ve seen ppl flying the Belt CP with Stock radio and can do some flip and roll... and landed in one piece.. we keep on telling him to get a good cheap radio such Fut 6EX but it take him time to replace his TX, since the ESKY reciver can be use with the Futaba radio as long it got the same frequency. and now he is in love with his new radio Futaba 7CP...

Good to him learning the hard way, and mastering it with a good radio

Yes he works and in his defence he flys a lot and has been pushing hard. A little too hard though.

I taught there was only 7 days in a week anyways anybody crashes 8 time in 8 days, they are either building it wrong, or DONOLD TRUMP has adopted them, or not ready for whatever they are doing.

But if they enjoy it, Hey who cares, They probobly worked at AIG

The more I fly the more it seems like I am getting more daring. I'm coming awfully close to the ground lately. Hopefully gravity doesn't pull it any closer.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

You`re right. the guy came into this with a 450 so he`s not used to flying high to learn new tricks. Now he has a bigger heli he`s still low.

I crash quite a bit. Im learning ( 8 months into the hobby)I crashed a lot when I started hovering solo ( used to be buddy boxed a lot)
I crashed a lot learning figure 8's turning away from me.
I am now trying to loop towards me. I say trying. I make about 5-6 turns towards me and then I usually do something dumb and crash. I feel like giving up . But I think about how far I have come from zero and realize if you dont push your limits you wont crash.

I just hope I can learn to fly a circle in either direction before I loose interest or my Wife cuts up the ATM

And of course the good side of crashing is you learn a lot about rebuilding and troubleshooting
