Hey everyone,
Would it work if I remove the gears from my stock 400 servo and install the HRCM5315 Hitec HS-65 Metal Gear Set and install it in the eflite case just to save a few bucks

IT'S NOT 3D I'M TRYING TO GET IT UNDER CONTROL

No, unfortunately it will not work. The pitch on the gears are different, the case on the e-Flite is smaller, and the motor on the e-Flite is weaker. The HS-65 servos are also analog servos, the e-Flite DS75 servos on the Blade 400 are Digital (albeit unusable as a digital for the gyro). The HS-65MG servos are only $35 each, there's also the HB (karbonite gear) version available for $25 each. If you make the swap, you will need 3 before you can make it.

HXT900's are way to go. They are cheap, strong and works!

May need to mod the frame to make them fit.

Have a TREX450sa(430l and 35 amp esc) and I've run hs-65hb on cyclic and hs-56hb on tail with gy401. My heli performs very well. I think in the last year I've replaced 2 gears in the 65's. That's my setup and it wont change. For me it works and hitec aren't expensive.

I wish I still flew!!!

No, install Hitec HS-65MGs or Hitec HS-65HBs. The MG's (metal gears) are highly unlikely to strip, I've never had one stip myself and I highly doubt I will but I've read a few cases of stripped gears (very unlikely once again).

This saves a lot of time and money from changing gears around after crashing.

If you decide to go with the HB's then you can always upgrade to MG's at a later date, this is what I did.
