main shafts are not a problem for me, what I hate to change are the bearings in the engines.

Main Shafts are my issue. Even a slight bump to one side or the other on the skids during lading, and it bends..

Some shafts are softer than others. I had a Raptor v1 that I never changed the main shaft. They were hollow and hardened more thoroughly. I have a EP Cypher that I change the shaft every time the disk hits anything and I have to change the top main bearing each time as well.

Always check your bearings after a crash. I've found many damaged bearings over the several crashes I have. I hate the cost of bearings. As for mainshafts, I've gotten to the point of just changing them after a crash whether they are bent or not.

Man, I miss the eighties.

Yes, there is nothing worse than reading poor grammer and spelling. The google toolbar has a built in spell checker. It helps...

Well the Main shaft and bearings in my Raptor 60, which was converted to a 90 had the original 6 year old shaft in it when I sold it..
Don't think it a had anything to do with TT quality..

the only thing worse than reading poor grammar, and spelling is the guy who goes through the forums correcting everyone's grammar and spelling. this comes up so often, it's rediculous. when i'm on a forum i type in a hurry and could care less if i capitalize or spell everything perfect. some of the most intellegent people in the world can't spell worth a flip. who cares. i'm not going to use the spell check for a comment that's only worth a few seconds of my time to begin with. sorry for the rant. i just get tired of people correcting everyone and being anal in general. it's a forum. if we were all setting in a circle at the feild chit-chatting and some of you guys corrected everyone, like you do on-line, you'd probably get jumped. ok, i'm done.

I prefer New Hampshire or Massachusetts shafts -- but that's just me.

Seriously. Does it really take that long and require that much additional effort to at least proof read what you post for major grammatical and spelling errors? I understand if you don't know how to spell every word in the english dictionary or don't have the grammatical prowess of computer but at least make an effort to post an understandable paragraph!!

PS... What is "jumped"? Is that like getting "beat up"? Where I come from it's called getting your ass kicked (Texas)!! And for the record, you WOULDN'T get your ass kicked in our group for correcting another person. We always try to speak properly because we are in a public park (yes, we have an AMA sanctioned field and we are approved by the city to fly in the park) and we always have people coming up to us asking questions so we try to be as helpful and speak as properly as we can. The last thing we need in a public park is someone to think we are a bunch of hicks with no intelligence flying aircraft!!

Anyway, all I would like to see is an EFFORT to make a paragraph understandable. It doesn't take any additional time to proof what you just typed to make sure you at least make sense!!
