You know how a figure skater pulls in his arms to spin faster?
What he's doing by bringing in his arms is minimizing his Mass Moment of Inertia.

On a heli setup, you want the greatest concentration of mass in as tight a package as possible, just as the figure skater's arms.

There isn't much you can do with electronics layout, but sometimes you can raise the CG up on the radio tray by putting the lighter stuff on the bottom of the stack and the heavier stuff on top.

You could even use lighter weight landing struts.

That MIGHT make a have a noticable effect on the heli's roll rate.

I ended up throwing a set of Radix Super Stubz paddles and up my aileron and elevator percentages in the Swash menu and that definately speed things up for me.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

the mass thing will get you that last little bit..
I have my battery hung on the underside of my tray and I am not unhappy with my roll and flip rates..

Concentrate on lighter paddles and getting max throw on cyclic.. if you are not using a cyclic ring on your transmitter than be very careful of the binding in the corners... ie.. pull your right stick down and right.. see if you have any binding when the stick is in these corners. If you are using flybar weights move them all the way in(you can use these to fine tune the roll rate if you find the lighter paddles have made it too sensitive)or remove them all together.

In life there is no spacebar!

I've got the cyclic ring so I'll make the changes after getting the lighter paddles.
