For those running the 401 can you post your settings. I'm running 9254 servo and have to have my gain all the way up to 84

Using Futaba star with my link in the outter most hole....I get either an inconsistent wag or no hold tail

Going to try longer blades this weekend, I measured these
96mm total blade length 86mm from the bolt hole to the tip.

I usually find myself around 66-68 (JR radio). Are you gettting a solid red light once the gyro has booted itself up.

Sounds as if you've got something messed up in your initial installation and setup of the gyro.

Futaba 4-arm "X" or "cross". Third hole out from center. Gain is set to 70. Holds great, no wag. Stock CF blades that come with the Nitro Pro. Two different 600Ns, same setup.

Nelly -- why on earth do you have the delay at anything other than Zero when using a 9254?

Delay is used for slow servos. It's properly set by hovering the heli at a safe altitude, romping on full rudder to do a pirouette, then releasing the stick. The DELAY would be set so that when you let go of the rudder stick, the heli's tail stops where it should without over or undershooting its final position.

Well, sounds like I am in the Ball park. I've got a couple locals telling me I should be around 35-40 in HH at the most. Think I'm going to put these new tails blades on, back the gain down an couple points and go fly

Solid light
everything 90, no binding.
End points at 100-100
Could use a tad right trim as I do get a small drift to the left in rate mode when hovering.

Adjusting the link length to get rid of the drift would be a good idea. It probably wont solve your problem but having it set up right mechanically is only going to help you.

Good luck.

My bad, that's what I was meaning "Needs to be trimmed a little better". I actually do ALL linkages this way, if your radio goes down (Had it happen!) makes your Heli truly "Bind and Fly" and you can skip that Dreaded Trim flight

I found the problem, Tails! I swapped them out, ended up dropping the gain down to 53 and she holds rock solid!
The new ones are the same length however a few mm wider....world of difference!

Um, trim via linkages vs at the radio. Only time i use radio trim is on the initial flight, then it's all transferred to the linkages leaving my radio trims at center
