Naked Frenzy!
Converted my Knight so figurd why not the Frenzy. Dead simple to do. Just get a swash driver and something to stand the balls 12-14mm off the blade grip arm. I used the standoffs from my knight.

Only got to hover one tanks as it was too windy to do much else. I am sure it will fly just fine.

Ha! I was thinking just today to use that flat spot on the tray for the SK-360 and mount the gyro right underneath like you did. Good job! What parts are you using for the "washout replacement"?

It is a Century Swash Driver. They are a little pricey though at $50. I found you can get the base and arms from Helidirect for around $25.

It took me awhile to come up with that spot for the Gyro. I really did not want it out back. I like it "under the hood" I tried to make a "shelf" on the slanted part of the radio tray, but the canopy was hitting the gyro and it would not go on. But after hours of staring at the damn thing, finally at 2 AM, if found that spot :P

Did you get any more flights on it today? I'm anxious to hear about your progress on this project.

No I did not. The winds were blowing at 20 mph all day with gusts in the mid 30's. Tomorrow is supposed to be a little more calm, 10mph with 20mph gusts. So I plan on putting it thru the paces tomorrow. I really did not fancy trying to tweak a flybarless setup in these winds today.

All I have done is hovered it in the yard for a tank. It acted no different the when I had the Skookum on the Knight, so I really do not expect anything different. Going to fly and track thru manuvers like it is on rails. Gonna feel like that helicopter is hardwired to my brain! :P

Flight Report. Hmmm.. what say. It flies great. But I did not expect anything less. WHen you remove damn near all the head, then it is not really all that unique anymore when it comes to cyclic and collective response.

It is fast. Rolls and flips are excellent. My Knight rolls a little better, but that is because the Vert COG is closer to the disc.

I am sure that you could get the damn near the same performance out of the Frenzy with the flybar on, but what you will not get is the response that you get with flybarless. What I mean is, when you tell it to go that way, it goes that way. You do not have to start it that way and keep it going that way. If that makes sense? But that is what going flybarless is all about .

Do you guys have specific questions?
