Hi Everyone... I hope someone can help.

I ordered the Phoenix flight Simulator, it's awesome, I love it!!

Anyway, I had to order a Futaba square connector adaptor for the Phoenix USB cable for my 10C.

Well... The adapter for some reason was very tight sliding into the radio training port... too tight. I removed it, took a look, both connector halves looked good, no burrs or bent pins. So, I plugged it back in, still feeling a little uncomfortable. Phoenix saw the 10c intermittently...

Long story short... The connector half that is soldered to the circuit board of the 10C had broken pins between the connector and the board. I am sure this was because of me pushing and pulling the adapter too hard into the radio.

I patched in a cable and have it working with the Phoenix, but I really want to get the 10C back to normal.

Does anyone know a part number and where I can buy the 6-pin square connector? I need the socket side that mounts to the circuit board. Buying a cable from the LHS has only the pin side that mates to the radio.

Thanks for your help in advance!!

No replies....

Doesn't look good....

My radio works fine with my patch... just was hoping I could get a replacement connector to install on the circuit board...

If anyone has a junk radio with the square connector, I am interested in buying it. (needs to be a junk radio, the connector is worth less than the shipping charges...)

Thanks !!

Just order a new adapter link. http://www.ekmpowershop4.com/ekmps/...ssories-8-c.asp I'm sure you can order these from places here in the States, you just need to look for them.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

Saint728,

I have the adapter... The adapter has the pin (male) side not the socket that I am looking for. I need to replace the socket plug on the circuit card in the Futaba 10C.

I had to remove the old socket with the broken pins and patch wires onto the broken pin stubs at the socket(female) side, then I made a 6" extensions with the wire and sodered the wires directly to the circuit card where the socket used to be soldered to.

Basically, I have the same futaba socket hanging out the back of the radio by a six 6" wires. If the socket pins did not break where they were soldered into the circuit card I would not have this little issue.

Thanks for you comment!
