Title says it all. In a recent post a lot of you helped me realize that all I need is a 600 for what I'm trying to accomplish. Now after more research I realize that there is a range of performance within the 600 spectrum (as there is within any heli model of course).

There are a lot of used 600 (non-ESP) with I think the 600L engine that I see coming up for sale. A lot of these seem to be a good deal. Since I wouldn't really want to do hardcore 3D with this airship, is there any benefit to going with higher-performance components like the 650L or more powerful servos since most of what we do involves steady side-to-side movement mostly in a hover?

Part of me does want to be able to take off the camera mount (once I own it) and flip it around in the air but that may remain in my 450's realm until I get a performance 600 specced out for 3D ability.

I look forward to your input, advice, and opinions, and thanks for your time!

600l, 600xl, they both work fine.

All stock, keep it simple.

If you feel like wasting money, give it to me and I'll make a video of it burning and post it here. Or, keep your money and run all stock.

Thanks track.

Is there a particular stock model that I should look for? It seems like some models have an aluminum frame and some have the carbon frame.

^^^^^^Doesn't matter.

I prefer the G10 because I cut and modify the frames for my own preferences and mounts. But if you don't plan on cutting the frames (you don't need to do any mods), buy the CF.
