Which one is better?
Hi guys, just wondering which one you think will work better in flight.

Both CNC main rotor hubs. If you look closely you can see #1 has a cutaway where the feathering shaft is. #2 doesn't.

This is for a 450. Trueblood V1 dampeners.

Thanks!

The cutaway in the first pic does not look like it was there at time of manufacture - it looks kind of rough. I wonder why it's there...- Brian

Why would you want that cutout? What purpose does it serve? If I was goin' to pick one it would be the one w/o the cutout.T-Rex 450 SE V2 , T-Rex 600 NSP, Stryker F27 C....Yea, it's a plank.

Well it may well have not, I can't remember it was a while ago when I put it in. It was in a crash today.

I know it's kinda rough but still neat overall, and really am not sure if a crash can do that kinda neat damage.

I was planning to put the 2nd one in but I didn't want to make flight performance any worse. (if it would)

I don't think you'd be able to tell the difference; my gut would have to go with #2...- Brian

i think the cutout would have no affect other then making the dampner softer cuz it can deform more in that spotVelocity 50 "99.9999999999999% of an atom is empty space." also 01001000 01001001

If there is nothing wrong with #1 and your using it then I would just stay with it until you need to change it out for #2.

Take Care,
Cheers, Patrick

number 1 is showing the break out created by the pilot drill for the mainshaft. Number 2 is either not drilled thru, or they used a smaller drill for the pilot. the reason number 1 is "rougher" is because it has left a feather edge where it broke out. The slot is not there by design.
