Hi guys,

Bad crash with my 450 today . Some sweet Radix blades messed up too much to fly again. The one that isn't snapped in half doesn't look too bad at all. I would never fly with it but I would like to know what I can do with it now.

I'm sure I've seen lots of uses for blades, like shelves etc. Just would like some pics etc .

Bit of fun and I wouldn't feel so bad if I can make something .

Thanks.

I've heard of making fly-bar paddles out of larger 600 mm blades with wood core. Don't know if that will fit you bill with the 450.

This hobby is WAY too expensive!!

you could cut the blades short and use them to set pitch with when you are tight for space.

or you can use them as paint mixing sticks when you are getting ready to paint that righteous canopy!

Man, I miss the eighties.

Sounds cool but not really what I was after, wasn't planning to put anything up in the air again really .

Thanks though!

AltecLansing, haha, yep could do, although woodies are just as easy to do that with .

I wanted something where I can show off the nice CF .

Nothing Special...
I just drilled them out and drilled the wall...and used anchors...with some dress up caps over the tops of the screws ...so they look nice and clean

A 700mm is good for 2 full sized helis

Give them to your friends who fly the airplanes. They are good for reinforcing balsa.

Or you could place them near your PC to 'encourage' you to make more use of a sim !

You know what is good for stirring paint? The Align 325 black and yellow "carbon" blades.

I have two short blades (Align 325 3K) that I cut down to use for setting pitch. I just got an Align 700 and noticed that the cut down 325's are almost identical to the stock 700 carbon tail blades and think they would work just fine for that. The 325's are not tapered and the 700 blades are. That is the only difference I could see. Anyone tried them yet?
