Pitch Measurement on FBL
Hi Guys,

I was just wondering, if you measure the pitch you put the heli on a flat surface with the Helicopter completely level. the the blades paralel to the heli.

Is that ok?

And how it is posible that I get at Positve Max Pitch a diferent reading then Negative Pitch? always more at the positve side.

If it has a headbutton you can remove that and put something there instead (a piece of alu or something level)

I use a digital pitchguage which I can zero in any angle.
To get zero pitch I drop a 4 or 5mm (depending on mm bolt) rod in the blade bolt hole and line it up with the mainshaft.

Flybarless heads, Mikado, 3DX, Bonta etc, isnt perfect geometry, pushrod isnt 90 degree to the link.
VBar has built in geometry correction, but even then it sometimes depending on your setup get a little offset.
If the unit you have does not have geometry correction, it will be quite alot difference.
In which way it gives change is depending on lead or trailing control.

Hi MrMel,
Thanks for the quick response!!

This is the HEad setup I use in combination with SK360, I do did a grip flip but only because of the swashplate moving in the right direction.

What´s your opinion?

Looks good, I fly the exact same setup but with Vbar on my T700N
Go inward on the servohorn a little, else your servos has to work too much (you get oscillations and other issues)

On the VBar I use ATV on the pitch channel to make sure I have equal in both direction, I take it the same apply for 360.
