GY520 - Access to addtional features via USB???
Hi guys,

Are we supposed to have access to additional settings when getting connected through the USB port (thanks to the CIU-2 USB Interface)

Having taken a look at the GY520 manual, I can't find additional info...

The thing is that I prefer to use a gyro where fine-tuning is allowed

I was informed that the interface program is still being written.

Perfection isn't from this world
For instance, is there a way to independantely fine-tune the pirouetting speed in both direction on the GY520... same thing for the deceleration...

Maybe in the GY620...

Yes, right and left ATVs in your transmitter.

However, I find the right an left piro speeds to be exactly the same using equal ATVs with the 520.

Ditto! If you properly setup your gyro and tail, I've experience perfect piro speed left/right with the GY520. That was not the case for me with the GY611.

Personally, I was going to purchase a USB adapter for the GY520, but after setting up and using a couple of them on my heli's, it's not needed.

Nobody's speaking about the second question... what about deceleration?
What if stop bounds are shown only in one direction?

I know I'm pushing it a little bit... this is just to make you understand that the every day pilot may be OK with the GY520 but there are things that can be perfected...

Sounds to me like you haven't flown it yet. Do you really need to tweak something or is this a hypothetical?

Geez beeflyer2, chillout. He is asking a very good question. Maybe you know nothing about deceleration and what it does. It works very well if you have high a gain. In defense of dogg5306 it is nice to add deceleration. I would like to know. You could do it on the 611 and on my Spartan.

The USB is for setting up the gyro the same way you do with the blinking light. Or you can read what your settings are instead of using the light. THere is a fine tuning adjustment on one or two items, but nothing special. It's just another selling item because ALL of the radio manufacturers know we are gadget geeks and will buy anything.Team Synergy/Rail, Team Scorpion, YS Engines, VelTye
