John, Who would you say represents the "ultra right" that you mention?
Pretty much anyone that unequivocally agrees with the tenents of the right wing, BUT doesn't accept others that don't. Lots if them on the Glock board I frequent. Someone like Limbaugh is pretty close, and the entirety of the first Bush administration with the possible exception of Powell. I personally don't have much of a problem with someone that is extreme right-wing, with the exception that they generally hate my views on a few things.

Inverted,
thank you....now we only have 299.99 million americans left to agree as well...
Not so. The Tea Parties were mostly people that feel the same.

Still, you make a good point.

Based on this statement, I am a proud "ultra-right winger". The problem with the Bush Administration is that they went too far to the LEFT, not the right. They abondoned Conservative values. If you think they are ultra-right wingers, then me and most of the Tea Partiers must be off-the-scale right wingers. We need radical movement BACK to the basics of capitalism and the Constitution. The current crop of government leaders (oxymoron) will not get it done.
Powell endorsed Obama. That makes him a left-wing liberal at best.

Not even close, well, you might be, but not thinking the governments (note; not democrat or republican, but BOTH) big spending sprees are a good thing, doesn't make you a ultra right winger. Kind of like a duck is a bird, but a bird isn't nescessarily a duck.

And sorry, the hard right doesn't get to claim conservatism now as it's own when most of them were belly up to the trough when Bush was doing it.

There are no conservatives in politics today. They were all scared into being centerists by the left wing media in this counrty. The Republicans have lost their base by trying to be the same thing as the Clinton Democrats. Which in it's self is a big lie but no body looks close enough anymore to understand that they are being lie to and screwed.

Anything is possible if you don't know what you are talking about!

With all these Labels defining political ideas, I think its time to create a new one. Ok so maybe its not so new. But it does however describe the multi-position stance the teaparty represents.

Now hear this, everyone. JohnLund has proclaimed himself the ultimate decider of who gets to "claim conservatism".
I'm not going to bother researching her praising Obama because I don't care enough, but I can bet it is taken out of context, or greatly exagerated. I would think that her being alienated from the "republican party"(though I am a registered republican and never got the memo), has something to do with her being more moderate, and talking pewp about the same neocons, and ultra-right that I mentioned need to be thrown out of the party anyway.
He claims to be this ultimate decider based on what? His blind defense of Meghan McCain? Defending her without even knowing what she said.

Since you like wikipedia sources, try this one:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meghan_McCain

Meghan McCain, my friend, is no conservative.

BTW, I have been a conservative since Jimmy Carter was president. Yes, I am old enough to remember living through the results of left wing liberal ideology in action. I have criticized Bush when he was wrong, and he was more and more toward the end. I was against (the other) McCain's so-called campaign finance reform, which he signed. I was VERY against the fannie and freddie bail-outs. I was VERY against TARP 1. Against prescription drugs, etc... And I stated it at the time.

Sorry if you don't like the hypocrisy of "conservatives" in love with the Bush administration's free-for-all spending spree, and don't like getting called on it when now "conservatives" want to claim that we need to stop spending. I call it like I see it. Neocons have the warfare state, liberals have the welfare state, different sides of the same worthless coin.

Conservatives never liked Congress's spending spree. I don't know of any conservative who consider Bush to be a true conservative. Certainly not domestically. The semantics and word games employed here seem like a distraction and attempt to play the Lou Dobbs game. I've said before, a lot of people didn't like Bush's policies. They just couldn't agree on what they didn't like. And sure, the usual lefties on here didn't agree with me when I said Bush wasn't a conservative. They wanted to follow the example set by their talking heads to label him as such in order to smear the brand. Now we have the left's favorite kind of "republican", one who smears the brand for them so they can pretend to be hands off and unbiased. Real "mavericky". Funny, dems who go against other dems don't seem to get the cool "maverick" label.

What I find funny, is that every so called "conservative" organization in this country, is actually a neo-con organization. With the exception of Ron Paul, there are no true conservatives left in government or the media today. Even the ACU rates Ron Paul as only 82% conservative. Why? Because he has always been against the Iraq war and the patriot act. How pathetic. Real conservatives understand the constitution and will abide by it. Real conservatives are not in favor of the federal government defining what marriage is. That's a state issue, not a federal one. Real conservatives know the bounds of the federal government, and want them to stay within those bounds.

Throw out the Neo-Cons, and run some real conservatives. The conservative base will come out in droves to support them. But this "left wing, right wing" and "liberal vs. conservative" bullsh*t is whats destroying our country.

The sooner the voters get it, the sooner we will be back on the right track.

I just hope Perez Hilton can get gay married so he can get gay divorced and lose half his stuff. Then he will say "hmmm, maybe those nutwings were actually looking out for us all along".

If they prosecute Bush and Chaney then they will have to prosecute most of congress that knew and condoned the methods Too! And I'm sure we will be able to find plenty to prosecute Obama on soon.
I'm all for it!
pardoned- pretty sure bush and the entire administration was pardoned just as every past president is. so much for transparency why wont the new pres boobama release any of the ET files and finally bring to light that we are not alone here. or release the secret memo on testing & replicating UFO s ? syuff that may lead us down a diferent path to energy production, transpertation, space travel and esp. we wouldnt need to h20 board any one and still see their true intentions, i know Y because the truth to his plans may come out.

Congress doesn't want to reveal their real names or place of origin. Just look at Pelosi, LOOK AT HER!!! All the proof is right there. We won't learn anything from these aliens. They are dumber than we are.

Long long time back, when I was a student at University of Missouri at Rolla – we had an interesting situation. Back then, the student body was pretty much governed by either the Jocks or the Frat Boys. So, if you were not in a frat or an athlete, just a regular student … then you were pretty much powerless.

Then we created this organization called the GDI (God-Damned-Independents), which anyone could join (of course, the Jocks and Fraternity guys didn’t join it). But GDI ended up being the most powerful organization in our University – from the very start.

They are not dumb. They are just intellectually challenged.
