Yes and Yes. Piros are Much more consistent than the 401. I would say it is equal to the Solid-G in a smaller package.

The Mini G is in a much higher class. It may be really small but the performance this gyro gives you is simply amazing! It will take you through the learning period if your just starting out and also capable of flying hard 3d with the best pilots out there.

Mini G
KennyS is right about the Mini G, saw Curtis fly it on his 90, I would put it up againg the big boys(Spartan, Futaba and so forth)and it's small enough to put on a 250. Bobby

Wing,
That has got to be one of the silliest posts that I have ever read.
Have you compared the 2? Either gyro would serve the needs of most people.
Do you actually expect someone to make a decision on something that you "herd"? BTW, its "heard"

Oh and I take for gospel everything I've heard second and third hand. Wait until you have your own first person experience before making that assumption.

Futaba service is just fine, CYE service is WAY above and beyond the call of duty to say the least.

I've owned both. +1 for the Mini-G. It rocks. Get the G-View, much easier.

1 more BIG reason to go Mini-G 50% crash replacement..
Lets see futaba top that..
Hopefully you will never need it but nice to know its offered
CYE service is WAY above and beyond the call of duty to say the least.
Another reason I use their products. You can ALWAYS call or pm one of the staff or Curtis himself and get the service you deserve.

If you want to save some money the CSM420 is pretty good weights 13grams.
