I have to say, 70 cycles of good reliable performance should be expected from a quality lipo? I have a friend who claims to have 200 flights on some TP 2600s and he is still doing 4 minutes of 3D? I have not had that kind of luck! My high time packs are a couple of TP 2200 I bought the day I got my 500, they both have just over a hundred cycles, they will still fly in ST-1 but will hit the VC if I try a punch out or go to ST-2. But they still spin the head fast enough to do circuits, and hover training? If you keep your temps down under 130* and your amp draw to less than 80% the packs will last a good long while. I have a few packs that are at that 60-70 mark and they are starting to show the effects of high time, but they still move the 500 pretty good

From my experience if the packs are run nicely (<80%, not too hot, not crashed)

0-35 cycles = like new performance
35-50 = start off strong but feel a little weak at end
50-100+ = start off strong. within 1 min a noticeable loss of power but still totally functional. power loss gets worse with age.

That is a pretty good scale, right on TJinGuy.

I am hoping the newer 40C packs are better, but I wouldn't bet any money on it.

Of course I still don't know what they mean by "20-30C"???
the rating on those batts are the cont and burst ratings

20C cont and 30C burst

oh and I have had several lipos make it to the 300 cycle mark, they showed their age,but definately good enough for flying circuits in the back yard and mild acrobatics(yes acrobatics..ITS NOT CALLED MILD 3D )and they all get charged at 2C or more after they are broken in

On Outrage 6 cell 3000mAh batteries, I fly 5 minutes of hard 3D and put in about 70% back in the battery. I love outrage batteries. It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!
