Well, after some deciding I have taken the plunge into the world of turbines

On its way, in the near future, is a Wren MW54 which is a kit. Its cheaper that way...plus I can get a look see into the internals.

I will be fitting it into another Predator airframe, I dont have the heart to tear my gasser apart

Well, this will be a first for where I live....there will be quite a bit of interest in it.

Quality takes........time!

Are you doing your own conversion, or are you getting a conversion kit for the Pred.?

Be sure to post a comprehnsive build thread with plenty of photos. If they ever get their MW44 out, I would love to do a conversion on something. Good luck, I will be very interested in your progress.

Hey there, I am getting the conversion kit free with the engine its a deal thats been going on for a while now.

I will post up, for sure

The MW44 is out...its a recent development though I gather its been on test for quite some time now...would fit the Trex 700 very well!

Its a popular engine, I would have got one but it would need sending back for bearing changes etc...I settled for the 54 instead.

The MW44 hasn't been listed on their website, but I do keep hearing about it in little bits here and there. Is there a website that talks about it? I see the turboprop version, but that is it.

Yeah, HeliFreak does have a turbine following. One or two guys there were awaiting the 44.

It has gone on release as far as I know, maybe once the backorder is done then you might see it listed?

If you go to HeliFreak, Sara is the Lady who posts there. She deals with Wrens customers so will put you in the picture.

Its funny watching peoples reactions at work...like a dis belief type of look...like a 'he has finally lost the plot' look

Well I look at it like this....I could go on holiday and get bored ****less being dragged though yet another ladies clothes shop by the Woman (who is already on holiday I might add) or chase the dream

I cant wait, to see her reaction...oh...and the turbine being ready for its first run.

Thanks for the info, I haven't been on HF much, I'll have to check it out a little more.

The wife's reactions are often priceless when they hear how much you spend on it, though I have seen more spent on shoes than I spend on this stuff...
