You need to read up on your flight stabilizers a little. Each type has it's ups and downs. The flying I do works best with a straight gyro stabilizer, no optics.
The tail hold on the HC 3A is really soft. Supplement it with a GY401 and it really makes a difference in keeping the heli stable. I don't feel you would get a huge leap in performance AP wise by adding different piezo elements. Maybe for 3D or flying or some other extreme flying.
No complaints about the price. Mine is working quite well.

dawnsound - what was your failure? I just lost roll gyro on a Rigid.

Why did you use MA544 rather than MB638/MA637?

Captron's customer service is top notch. Speical thanks to Joachim. My Rigid unit had a gyro fail in flight. With one month remaining on the 24 month warranty, Captron inspected/repaired/shipped within a weeks time. The slowest part was/is the shipping.

I got robbed as well when I bought Adobe Photoshop!

I paid $1,000 for it. When I opened the box, all I saw was a 'Cheap' CD inside. I'm sure the CD (material) only cost Adobe .10 cents to purchase but, why did they charge me $1,000 for it?

I got robbed!
