just a thought. Has anybody tried to run a 60/90 tuned pipe on a .50 size engine? I understand that they are not the same mounting hole s and it would require a custom adaptor. Im just courious Because I ran an os 32 with an MP5-50 awhile back and when it got "on the pipe" that beast had as much power as an os37.

Thanks,Cody

They used to run the old muscle pipe 1 for the 60's on the 50's. Some that have tried running 80/90size mufflers on 50's commented about the lack of backpressure.

The only problem with that
Would be the engine has to rev to a certain RPM. before it can take advantage of a bigger pipe.

Same goes with racing bikes you cant just go put MOTOGP pipe on a normal YAMAHA or HONDA and expect the ROSI or HADENs motogp.

Back presure and TUNNED Pipes and baffels make a big difference in overall performence.

Take for example if an engine is made to rev up to 18,000 RPM and tunned to have optimum performance at 16,000 RPM with a certain pipe
What does that tell you?

Noone will say that bigger pipes cannot work on smaller engines, It will but your highest performance points will change, meaning the RPM that use to give you 1600 or 1800 head speed, now might be way different. Fuel consumption will change.

and that is my .002 cent in this

Ive noticed. the 32 had less than normal power until I got it up to at least 2000HS. then it got on the pipe.
