Hey i'm in need of an 18T 6mm bore mod.7 herringbone pinion to get my Logo600 in the air. RH is all out of stock on these and as of next week the pinion will be the last part I need to get in the air. Anyone have one that they'd like to sell?

Thanks

As an option, you could go with a mod 1 setup. I just ordered this for my L600.

Mod .7 final drive ratio 153/18t pinion = 8.5/1

Mod 1 final drive ratio 106/12t pinion = 8.8/1, roughly 3.7% lower headspeed

Mod 1 final drive ratio 106/13t pinion = 8.15/1, roughly 4.3% higher headspeed

Both options will result in less than 90 net rpm +/- that of mod .7/18t pinon.

The main gear is $12.99 and much beefier. The pinion is $2 more. So the whole swap would cost you about $15 more. That's $15 to finish your heli a little quicker and a little more peace of mind.

Good point. I forgot about the mod 1 option. Thanks for the option.

No sweat. I did manage to strip a .7 main gear yesterday. I think it was because I had the backlash improperly adjusted. I was very lucky though. I was in a hard dive pulling out full pitch when it stripped. Lost most of my headspeed. I got it back under control about ten feet from the ground.

Can't say for certain but, my guess is that wouldn't have happened with a mod 1 maingear. If I wasn't able to save it I would probably be blaming my mishap on the gear right now. I'm switching just to give myself that little bit extra confidence in my drivetrain. I feel like that's money well spent.

What motor and KV are we talking here?

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

Xera 4030 2.5Y 560kv. I guess I have two options if RH emails back and says it'll be a while for the 18T.

I can go with mod .1 gearing or just get the 17T pinion for the time being. I think 2200 rpm is where i'll want to be on this bird and 17t gets pretty close to that according to the HS calculator.
