hi
i got almost same setup (running different motor)

but esc only provide 4.8v as far I know, if you want to run 6v, you have to get bec.

Personally i would try getter ESC than Scorpion 60A. Mine gets hot(burn finger) on 100,95,100% curve and pulling 40 - 50 amps(eagle tree'ed). Even cheap China ESC normally outperform the 60A Scorp. the 60A is known for getting very hot (google it ) ;-)

sure someone else can confirm pinion for you. i would start small, ie 13T and then work up as you need more. Smaller = lower head speed, longer flight time.

hope that helps

regards

According to the Scorpion 60A ESC Manual, one Page 1 under Battery Eliminator Current (BEC) at the end of point 1, it states:

"Please note: the 15V 60A LBEC Heli ESC will supply 6v to your
receiver and servos up to 3S or 11.1v from you main battery."

Not sure how to switch it though ....

i'm running a phoenix 35 esc and a castle bec set to 5.1 volts. overall they are lighter than the scorpion unit and stay pretty cool with a close to 100% throttle curve.

I have almost the same setup and my 60a v2 Scorpion never gets hot
only warm battery is practically cold after 8 min of hovering. Something must be putting a load on the esc.
