Motor Bearings
I just replaced the front bearing of a Scorpion 4035-560kv with a standard bearing of the same dimensions. It's not a special bearing for motors or anything; I think it came from a blade grip.

Is this something I'm going to regret? So far, I've got about 30 minutes flight time on it. Ya don't suppose it would seize up on me, do ya? Hmmm....

Thoughts?

So far it's running 10F cooler and I'm getting slightly better flight time. I'll definately keep an eye on it.

Bearings differ by speed rating, if you browse Boca bearing for example there is always a show of the rpm rating of a bearing, most important for motors indeed within this respect. Most radials for grips are for load as that's what they see. Tough to say what bearing you got but I would definetely get some VXBs or Bocas on standby for your next change out to be sure is all....Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...
