I'd be the first to admit I am wrong, but that doesn't sound like a YS 91SR to me. The rpm and headspeed just sounds too high. With the stock gear ratio I don't think the SR would pull those rpm's happily.

Of course, I could be 100% wrong!

Here is Jamie's current 700 set up as of the Huntsville event.

Stock T-Rex 700(nothing special done even still using stock main gear)
JR 8717 servos on cyclic and throttle
Solid-G gyro / JR 8900G tail servo
Spektrum AR7100 receiver
ThunderPower 2S 2600 ProLite receiver pack
ATG V3
Radix 690mm blades
Radix 4105 Super Stubz
Radix 105mm tails
OS 91HZ (non pumped)
MP5 90
OMI fuel magnet in tank (on outside tank hole & 70mm line length)(70mm is while using Hayes clunk line and allows for expansion)
+/- 13 1/2
Throws set to max w/no binding
JR X9303
Wildcat CY 30%
1800 RPM norm, 1950 IU 1, 1950 IU 2
OS #8 plug

No special programs or mixes. Just a very generic set up that I can duplicate from machine to machine easily. I do pay strict attention to details while building his machines. I try not to use any sub trim at all when setting them up and he normally does not have to use any flight trim. He prefers a slightly tail heavy machine with a full tank.

What have I forgotten or what else would you like to know?

Hope this answers some of your questions!

Thanks Jim
What a great, detailed, and complete response.

This helps some of us know what to shoot for in equipment and setup. Often it is easy to assume that professional pilots have some great advantages in equipment and setup. This verifies a readily available and affordable collection of components with a basic set up approach can outperform most pilots (especially me). The wow factor comes from the pilot wriggling the gimbles.

Great job Jim and Jamie.
