im switching out the stock grips to the metal ones. there is now more grip movement back and forth...took all i could out of the stock grips. what am i missing? do i need different bearings?

How much play? Might sure you have the gold color shim between the grip and the main hub and or the shim inside the grips.

I think the new metal grips have different size shims. Try them all to see if the play has been reduced.

hmm yes everything stayed in place, gold shims etc, so it must be different size shims that go inside the grip

Try using the stock shim from the plastic grip.

yes i did and there is to much play, i have 2 600's and the other has the stock grips and they are tight.

ya, almost seems like its missing a shim, i went to a website to see the schematic, seems like i have them all, but its just not flush up against the gold shim...still some play unlike the stock one.
