It is, really. Thats how it started.
While today it may be a very common word on the internet, my best friend and I have been using it since the mid-90's. A friend and I have been calling each other "Dood" since high school. YEARS before it was used on the internet.

I have always wanted to name a dog chili.
My current dog is named Clooney which workes well cause I can also call her goonie and she still responds.

I like to take names from things around me for example I saw a fish that looked like my cat. So, my cat's name became Marci after the Marci rainbow fish.
I also like to name them after famous people. I have a chamleon named Jauqin. After Jauqin Pheonix and well the dog is easy to tell that I had a crush on George in middle school.
So good luck in whatever name you pick.

Keno is a good name, but I would have went with the name "Stain"
At least you would get a laugh when someone tried to call him.
