Just wanting to let everyone know that the Medusa MR-3650-V2-5(1300KV) is an awesome motor in the HC500. The stock motor does well , but the Medusa gives it that Tyson Punch and longer flight times.

I get about an extra minute of flying with this motor, around 5 minutes of hard 3d on a 2500mah pack.

The temps of the motor and battery are very reasonable.

Give it a try , You will like it.

Fran

Try this link, it looks to be an in-runner. If i had the funds i would give it a try. I have tried the align 1600kv and the stock motor. The stock is better but my batteries get a little warmer than i like.

The outrage 550 runs 550mm blades and the HDX hc 500 runs 430mm blades. The HC 500 is a redesigned hdx 500 by Henry Caldwell. One is made by outrage and the other by HDX.

I have owned both and they are both great, just depends what size heli you want.
