I recently had my 500 basically wiped out due to an Align white CF wood core flybar paddle separating from the short metal plug w/set screw. It's now back in the air, but I continue to be plagued with issues. After the rebuild I noticed unusual noise during spool down. I had to replace main bearings. With new bearings installed I had two great flights this past Friday morning and thought all was well. Charged all batteries looking for a good time Saturday, only to encounter more problems. Spool up sounded normal at first, and then power trailed off to weak. I have since plugged in a different motor, with same result, which points to the ESC. I reprogrammed the ESC and during a short flight in front of my house, power seems normal again.
My question is, has anyone had experience with Align ESC's loosing their program and having to be reset, or is this a sign the ESC is going bad? I'm getting a little tired of buying parts for issues resulting from Align's defective paddle!
