Anyone have any success running this gov with throttle enpoints other than 100-100?
I know the consensus is moving away from running endpoints this way as it is "Old School" especially with the trend twards govs however,
I'm happy with running my setup this way with the exception of over speeding on decent (hence the reason for the multi gov).
I'm just trying to find a happy medium between Old School setup vs New school gadgets

Not sure what you're asking.

If you dont have adaquate end points you'll get an error when you try to program low and high stick position.

I'm running 55-55 on my throttle endpoints to keep the throttle ahead of collective but the multi gov is requiring 100-100
I think I am going to just upgrade to a faster servo in the case that the multi gov goes out close to the ground

Why would the gov go out? Make sure you glue the magnet correctly.

You're loosing quite a bit of resolution doing it that way, and don't even get me started on the faster than collective thing

Just set the end points to 100/100.

When you program the high/low on the low side give it about 1/4 throttle, that will keep it from backing too far off during descents and transitions.

You need to set your end points so that the travel on the servo doesn't bind.

I'm not sure what has to do with setting up the multigov?

All you do on the multigov is high stick and low stick. Then run a test to make sure it is full travel on the carb, and you are done.(with that step)

OR are you talking about the throttle curve?

zaneman and barracuda are right.

First setup your throttle servo without MultiGov so it doesn't bind and your endpoints should be around 100 on both sides. I say "around" because it won't always be exact and +/-20 points is ok.

After you have set your endpoints, then program that into MultiGov.

55-55 is a little low and while it may work, you do are losing resolution. Try moving the throttle linkage in on the horn.

Was talking about endpoints to keep from binding.
OK, out with the old school and on to learn some new tricks!
I'll try to get this up and going after work with 100-100 endpoints.

Now one final question while I got Aerospire here

I only want my stock throttle curve for normal and then the gov to kick in for idle up, from research online this can be achieved with the default settings and no need for the 7th channel RPM switch correct?
Also, LowThrotPcent if I set to 79, Multi gov will only come alive with anything 80 and above correct?

Thanks Guys

The only way I know to do that is with RPM select connected to the RX. You would then configure normal as GOV OFF and your radio's throttle curve will be the only thing active. Then Idle 1 and Idle 2 with the speeds you would like with GOV ON, running a V-curve and the Multigov doing it's mojo.

Personally I run GOV ON in every flight mode.

I run normal in 3D (rev limiter mode) then set that for 1800 or so, and tune with the throttle curve.

That way the only time it should kick in is if it overspeeds.

"LowThrotPcent" does not determine when the governor kicks in.

"LowThrotPcent" is the minimum throttle that will always be maintained *when* the governor is engaged. This prevents MultiGov from bringing the throttle down too low. I would not set this above 50% (the default is 35) as you will probably experience more overspeeding. If set too high, your RPM could actually be always above the target RPM.

As for when MultiGov kicks in, it is stated in the manual and not changeable:

MULTIGOV PRO activates governing when 1) the throttle channel
input is 20% above the set idle point and 2) the rotor speed is over
70% of the target speed.

got it setup, used ALL defaults accept the rpm set, for this I set normal mode at 0, idle one at 2050 and idle 2 at 0
All seems to work perfect on the bench, will try it out as soon as it quits raining!

Thanks Guys!

Yup. Top notch service. I dumped everything else and now I run Multigovs on all my birds. Heck, even my Protos 500 (electric) has one
