Well i tryed to fly my N9 for the first time today and she just didnt want to leave the ground I guess she is scared of hights. if the engine didnt die the heli was falling apart. The fuel tank leaked like a stuck pig so i couldnt tune the motor and the alerion control fell off and caused it to pitch fwd and total loss a set of V blades. So not a good day for me. better luck next time i quess.

Trying not to put them in the dirt.

Sorry to hear about the bad day.

I saw another thread of yours where you said you bought the heli second hand.

If it was built by the previous owner, i would advise you take each sub assembly apart and slowly do a rebuild.

If part well off on your first flight, more will come off in the future.

That's unfortunate. I feel your pain. I myself have had just about as much bad luck with heli's as any veteran and I've only been in the hobby for a year now. It seems it's always one thing or another with any of these models. I've owned/own a number of different machines since I first started and all of them have had some issues either electronic or mechanical. Some of these issues have been my fault while others have been clearly issues that no one and I mean no one could ever figure out what the reasons were. The only model to date that I have had experience with that has been literally bomb proof and held up to flight after flight of torture is the Trex600 nitro. It's not as fun to fly as an N9 but man what a rock solid model. Good luck with your inspections and I hope you get your N9 flying issue free as it's very enjoyable to fly.

thaks guys. i did go through it and there was no lock tight on anything so went and put it on everthing.

Lack of lock-tite killed my N9 on it's maiden also. My fault, will never forget it again!

sorry to hear this, but its the very reason i would strip it down, clean every nut and bolt with methylated spirits (or any other oil removing liquid), then re-assemble with locktite where it should be. that way youve got nothing to be worried about and all should go well. as for the tank bung leaking, just take the bung out, clean the hole with a piece of sand paper then re-fit (As long as it isnt damaged/split).

hopefully there isnt too much damage, but i learnt the hard way with my first N9 that this is a machine not to be rushed, it requires care and attention, but it will reward you in the way it flys!
