JR DSX9 (X9303) buddy with DX7 Questions - SOLVED
I searched and could not find this. Sorry if I missed it.

What is the easiest way to buddy these radios with the DSX9 as the Master and the DX7 as Slave? I only need the DX7 to send its Gimbal positions to the DSX9 and nothing else. I don't need the FM and TH switches to work etc.

I have tried it with the DX7 in P-Link and Slave P-Link but it is not working properly. When I transfer control to the DX7 the controls are all screwy.

Thanks for your help.

I had an X9303 that I think is basically the same as the dsx9.
I used it with my Dx7 with no problems. If I remember correctly I just set it to p-link slave then turned it off. Then I plugged it into the x9303 and it just worked for me. No magic.

I've come across the same situation awhile back but couldn't find anything either.
The model was set-up on my friend's DX7. I tried the copying model function but had no luck with that. I'm not 100% but do believe I tried the p-link with no success.
I programmed the model to my x9303. I like this method just in case the trainer cord somehow freakishly becomes unplugged. The model is programmed and binded to my TX{x9303master}and the DX7{slave}
I'm sure there probably is an easier way to do it. The way I went about it works just fine. My friend is now pass the trainer cord stage so we simply re-binded his heli to his TX{DX7}and off he flies.

Hi guys

You need to setup the dx7 to p-link slave.

On the 9303 you need to bind it to the Rx and set the trainer function to it to master. There are then the 4 channels that can individually set from master to slave. I forget which way it should be. Try one and test it out. then swop if it is wrong.

The one way is like p-link master and the other way like master on the DX7, ie requiring complete reprograming of the slave radio.

I have used this function a lot.

Hope this helps.

Regards
Paul

Thanks guys I'll have another play today. Paul, I did it exactly this way with the 4 individual settings all set to Master. Will try as Slave and see how we go.

Got it! I had to put all the individual channels in the trainer screen into Slave Mode on the DSX9 and then it worked. That makes 0 sense because it is the Master TX but never mind, it works perfectly!! Thanks heaps guys.
