It would take one hell of a pilot to outfly either of them so it truly is up to you. Both excellent machines!!!

There is the problem. That isn't quite true. You will not hear about the clutch breaking or the bell not running true on a Vibe SG. You wont hear about drive shafts breaking or links snapping or main gears stripping on the Vibe SG. The quality of the screws on a Vibe will not be an issue.
Yes in my opinion the Vibe SG is over priced but that is what you get for your money and it wont take a heck of pilot to figure it out.

I would say that if money were not an issue, the 700 is a good machine but there are other excellent machines out there. The only thing that makes the 700 attractive is the cost.

Well, I couldn't make up my mind on this one so I own both. I take 3 flights with each, and I enjoy both! It's the only way to go. LOL

Check out the price of the Vibe's side frames - you could buy a 600 kit for the price of those!

I definitely got a bit stupider reading this thread. I need to stay out of Main Discussion.

The TREX bashers sound stupid, the TREX fanboys sound stupid.

I want my 5 minutes back.

The practical answer is the TREX. The non-practical answer is any other high end 90.

If you have to ask, you know that the 700 is the answer.

And, no, I have no plans on selling my stratus for a 700. I prefer my 90 to be non-practical.

I finally got to see a Vibe 90SG in person this past weekend. It's a beauty for sure but if anyone thinks the build is a breeze I would have to disagree. Lots and lots of parts. At my skill level I better stick to the Trex.

I was Spektrum when Spektrum wasn't cool

I believe I seen a video of Curtis Youngblood flying a T-Rex 700 at a Texas fun-fly not to long ago. My thoughts are if he is comfortable flying a 700, he is better than 99% of us, it would be good enough for you.

It's a complex, costly, glow powered anti-gravity machine!

One could say that Curtis would be comfortable flying a toilet seat with 2x4's for blades.

If you take the $$$$ out of the equation, it comes down to your flying style!

If you are more of a FAI type pilot that does little or no smack down, the Vibe will be a better choice.

If you are more of a hardcore 3D guy that does a little FAI flying, the 700 will be a better choice.

Yes, both heli's will do both, but the Vibe is better for FAI and the 700 is better for smack down.

In my opinion, the 700 is the best VALUE out there right now. It does everything very well. There are other heli's that do certain things better but overall, I don't think you can get a more universal machine than the 700. It will make any pilot smile no matter what their flying style or their level.

If you bring the cost of ownership back into the equation, I think it's a no-brainer. I recently bought my 2nd 700 and I paid $600 including shipping. For what the average 90 crash costs for most people, you could just about buy a new 700 kit.

Not to mention the fact that if you do crash, the parts you need to replace come in packages of two so you are basically ready for your next crash.

I have not flown the SG Vibe but according to CY, it's heavy and slow compared to most of the 90's on the market and it's more specifically designed for the FAI market. AKA Scott Gray

The problem flying the vibe is it flys so accurate it makes my flying look crap!

It shows up all the little mistakes that i'd get away with flying the 700.

Both are great heli's the 700 would be better if align got off their butts and sorted the stripping main gear problem out.
