what a day started out graet first 3 flights awsoem and thats where it ended engine started to run poorly so we pulled it down found bad ring and rear main bearing.
was 4-5 mins into braking in the new ring and pop gose the con rod,
piston, liner, ring, con rod.
put my back-up in (new ring and rear bearing from lean run) 3-4 mins into braking in new ring pop gose the con rod same parts.
yesterday same to a buddy of mine

Id almost put money on the fact that you probibly didnt get the rear bearings seated all the way, itll do it everytime. And since you replaced bearings in each motor, it makes sense

The piston on the left got very hot. it looks like the con rods got hot as well. Is your fuel tank holding pressure???

Time for OS Hypers I guess. Sorry to hear about your loss. From looking at the engines they look like they were run lean to me too...

How long until they leaned at Idle for the pinch test? And after some hard climb outs how long could you hold your finger on the backplate for?

bearing issue makes sence looking at the back plate were pattern has changed drasticly

and i am thinking of OS hypers os treated me well for 20 years in planks time to try them in heli's

Hyper 50
I bought a brand new hyper 50 it blew up after only a gallon and a half of fuel ear bearing crank liner piston they sent me a brand new one it still sits on a shelf ,I have seen so many people say they have crappy bearings in them stock,I have tried to sell this engine and no one wants to buy it,I 'd buy a redline 53 T\T I bought 2 of these and have never looked back,just my opinion.....
