I have a HBK2 that I just put a 401 gyro on. I get tail wagging and kicking sporadically. I am running 3900 kv E-sky motor 10t with the 4.3:1 tail upgrade and a JR DS188 tail servo (.08 sec/60° @ 4.8V; .06 sec/60° @ 6V) should be fast enough. Could it be that stock E-Sky ESC does not have the power needed to run AR61 rec, 4 servos and gyro? If not what would you suggest and how would I hook it up. And yes this happens in both normal and HH mode.

What do you mean Heli's don't bounce??

How much vibrations you getting from the heli?
What are you using to mount the gyro?
Ball should be about 5-6mm from center of servo.

On specktrum the gain sould be around 75%.
Gyro's Delay should be set at 0.

Forget about the RATE mode setup, not needed to with this gyro.

This is what I did to get the tail to work good. I got the cloned gy401 but work the same.

0 all trims on ch4, set the gyro gain to 75% HH light should come on.
on Gyro Delay 0, Limit 100%.
Install the ball on close to center.

Loosen up the servo holder screws you.

Push the rudder left and right very slowly so you don't damage the servo when it binds up.

Adjust the limit and servo location until you can slide the tail slider 100% both way without binding.

If you follow T-Rex direction it doesn't work well with HBK2 because sock slider doesn't give you full range.

Ball is at 9.2mm I will move it in closer, The vibration is very minor at spool up on alomost zero at mied stick. I have the gyro mounted with 2 side foam so this should be ok. Will move the ball and give you the results. As for the rate mode I would agree.
