Hello guys, just got a condor gasser and
When I first flew I could adjust the high needle
On the zenoah 260 to make it run rich or lean... Now it's always
Lean even with needle backed way out it will never get rich.... What on earth is going on? I took carb apart and cleaned ... Still same thing

About 8 tanks on the bird .... Please help

Where is your low speed needle set, and have you done any adjusting on it? Also where was your HS needle set when it was working correctly?

Screen clogged, diaphragm pooched, main jet clogged, manifold airleak.......

When you take the carb off, is the gasket wet oily, when you take the manifold off, ...is the gasket wet oily?

Definately an airleak. Find it with some WD-40. Spray it down while it is running and then take it apart. Find the oily spot!

I haven't changed mine yet but all pretty much agree to dump the plastic manifold and get an aluminum one. Sounds like good advice.

That black phenolic manifold is a leaky SOB. I have shaved and milled mine down twice now, it just seems to find a way to warp and leak again.

Aluminum one for sure is the cure...at Toxic , I think, you get really nice thick teflon gaskets.

phenolic manifold
Is there a Aluminum phenolic manifold for the zenoah 23cc and if so where can I get it from? Just checking we are taking about the block the carb is mounted to the one I have is a brown color, I have had to mill mine down a few times.

This problem sound very similar to what I have been going through
5-6 tanks of fuel then it starts running lean and if you try and fly through it will die. fuel bulb is sucked completely dry even though there is plenty of fuel. fuel line is full. after cleaning the carb I can get 5-6 maybe 7 tanks and gets progressively worse. I have done this 3 times now on this new engine. yesterday it died in flight at the top of a power climb-out. It autoed down And I had enough. After talking to Al at Hanson he seems to think there is a problem with the transition valve in the carb, the fix is a new carb. mine is on the way so we will see.

CRASH! GLUE! REPEAT!
