I am looking for a 60 size to step up. I currently fly a Raptor 30 now but I want the stability of a 60. I use to own an Xcell 60 so I know what they are like, but I can only assume that a Raptor 60 is like a 30.

Please look at these threads and tell me what you all think.

Can you even get parts for that X-cell anymore?

Yeah 60s aren't popular anymore. For that reason alone I'd go with a 50 or 90 instead. Can't imagine there would be that much difference in stability between a 50 and 60. I know there isn't much between a 30 and 50 for that matter.

Edit: If I had to pick between the two, I'd have to say the Rappy too.

Between the two I would go with the raptor.

I have owned a couple of those xcells and they are very stable.
They are very expensive to repair. Alot of the parts are not available so you must upgrade to newer parts if you destroy them.
The original black main gears arent available so if you strip one you have to upgrade to a fury clutch and gears. This is alot better setup but will cost about $165. The one in your picture may still have the old drive wire system for the tail rotor as well. I upgraded mine to a torque tube but again its gonna cost you $$$. The radio tray is probably made of wood as that was common on this model.

The raptor is stable, tough, inexpensive to repair, and you wont outgrow it for a while. I have a raptor 90se. It is basicly the same heli with some bling and a bigger motor. It is a good heli especially at the listed price.

hope this helps!

I also forgot to menton that since you are already used to how the raptor 30 goes together; you will adapt quicky to the raptor 60, as thundertiger has enough simularity so you will be able to figure it out pretty easily.

May Raptor 60's live for ever
Raptor 60's rule. 60,70 engines are easily available. 60 crashkits are available for the Raptor and a 60 to 90 upgrade kit is also available. I fly two with TT .70 and OS 70 and they are so nice to fly. They fit in the TT scale and Century bodies and if you need a power boost, you can add a 70, 80 or 90. Two boom lengths available the standard 60 and the 90. There are 10 years of production )S 60's available on the used market. OS 60 SX and LX engines run great and have lots of power to enjoy flying and modest/sane 3D. And no CCPM crap to have to put up with so reasonable servos work well.
