Hey all,

I did the maiden and everything went well but the Mini G was acting a little weird. It was installed per the manual for a nitro heli and setup with the G View. The drift is a very very slow one but still noticeable. I was able to get it to go away with three clicks of rudder trim but I of course do not want to do this. Anyone have an idea? Maybe Curtis could chime in?

I have already tried that and it did help, but I am already up to 88 on the gyro screen on a DX7 and no wagging so I'm not sure... this is on a 9254 so maybe it's dying?

Is it a new engine?? Saw a couple of your build posts so it could just be rich. Did you use the metal plate with 2 layers of tape?

It is still very rich so that may be it.

I will try a higher gain tomorrow and see if that works.

go back to origanal gain setting. watch and see whitch direction drift is going. make mechanical adustment to countreact drift. fly. if tail doesnt hold addust gain. all settings for trim should be at zero. happy flying!

DONT TRASH WHAT THE OTHER GUY IS FLYING OR FLYING WITH. AT LEAST HE IS FLYING!!!

Sean, increase the gain and keep an eye on the wag. On Mandy's DX7 with her 600N, I had to crank the gain to 100 on the TX.

The gain on the TX and the value on the G-view are different. On my 9303 2.4, a gain of 100 on the TX = 90 on the G-View. With the DX7, a gain of 100 was even less than 90 on the G-View.

How did you even get such a high gain value on the G-View??? The best I could do was 90 with my 9303.

Alright went out today and I raised the gain up to 110 on the gear channel. This definitely helped a lot, but the tail drift was still there, albeit much slower. I can probably live with it for now, but I will try calling CY tomorrow and see what they have to say.

you have to neutralize the tail mechanically adjust the linkage so theres no drift. i'd say give it one turn to the left and it should stop.

check the whole tail system and make sure everything if free and no slop.

You will have to disable auto sence and just increase your aux2 vaulues in Travel adjust. I have mine at 134 which equals to 98% on gview if I recall correcly.

every heli maybe different im only at 110 on aux 2 travel adj. and at 85% gain on g-view my tail is solid

you just need to turn it up til it osilates and then just drop it down some til its still. there is no magic # for it dont pay to much attention to it.
