Anyone have a part number or know of a stockist of the vbar gyro sensor tape?

Just had the pad separate on my flybarless protos in flight. Thankfully it did not separate completely and I got the heli down ok. Very scary decent though

I have some 'Zeal' absorption pads to hand. Anyone know if that will work ok?

Regards

Fergus

I heard the zeal is too flexible. Oscillation may occur due to this.

I use futaba tapes too! Flawless for 60+ flights for Vstabi and hundreds for other gyros!

The Dubro double sided tape works excellent as well. Available at almost every hobby vendor and shop.

...Once upon a time there were Nitros, flybars and frequency pins...

I use zeal with a strap over the sensor. No issues.

Discovered the problem was a slight bow where the two frame halves meet. this resulted in a non level surface which caused the tape to seperate and fail. I used a strip of zeal tape on each frame half and also put a velcro strap over the top for extra security as Talron suggested.

Just had a test flight and no oscillations or other visible problems.

Thanks for the input guys.

Fergus

Just don't use the Spartan gyro tape. My vbar sensor didn't agree with it.
