Canopy Nut Over Canopy Nut Protector????
How the hell are you supposed to get the canopy nut over the canopy nut protector?? There seems to be no way in hell that I can get it over it! Any tricks to getting them in?

Thanks.

Use some type of oil to help slip your canopy grommet thru the hard plastic canopy nut/insert.
Use of the insert will help in the long run.

it will go in you just need a little windex glass cleaner for lube. Once you get it started pull it thru the hole.

tip:
C/A them protectors in before you install the rubber canopy nuts. If you don't, they are suseptable to vibration and will move around. The ones on my 700 moved around so much they ovaled the hole out. I had to repair the hole with a new piece of C/F and redrilled a new hole. Now the protectors are C/A'd in and won't move around.

Personally, I'd epoxy the protectors in instead of CA'ing them. Slow epoxy works best. Just seems like the epoxy is a little bit more flexible and holds up better to the canopy being constantly pushed and pulled on/off.

Yup, actually I did use epoxy. I had CA sitting in front of me on the desk, guess I looked at it and typed what I saw. Definately epoxy.Gaui Greatness X7, X5, NX4, X3
