I have a multigov pro on my 600n

settings - normal off (th curve 0-40-80), idle1 1950normal (80 flat) idle2 3d (100 flat). limiter mode on. everything stock setting except 3d aggressiveness i changed from 25 to 50.

issue - i cant switch flying mode to idle1 or idle2 if the headspeed is low while in normal mode. the heli would 'hiccup'. throttle servo would go haywire. i have to switch back to normal, wait till it headspeed is high enough, then i can switch flying mode.

any pointers?

err wait a minute.. you have those curves in with a multigov?

You need to use the curves they specify. which if I remember right are both 100 ... 85... 100
and let the Multigov limit the throttle. otherwise its fighting the curves.

Mine works great using those curves and tacts exactly on the money with whats set in the programmer. in my case 1950 2050 2100

I may be wrong, but the normal TC should be 0 to 100. Why? So the MultiGov knows the lowest and highest throttle servo settings in setup. If you stop at 80, 80 is the highest the MG will ever drive the throttle. Make sense?

I don't use limits, but either way, it's easy. Follow the manual and all works great. It's all I use now.

i dont govern my normal mode. prior to lowering the TC, i did program the idle and high point using a 0-50-100 TC.

with 0-40-80 TC, at hover, i would get around 1800-1900 headspeed. i use it for autorotation practice and also for tuning purposes.

i will try the 100-80-100 TC for both idle1 and idle2 tommorow. thank you.

i found my manual. aerospire mentioned (page 5) use a 100% flat TC if using 3D limiter mode.

so by right, my idle2 should be fine shouldn't it?

btw, i checked my idle1 TC, it wasnt 80 flat.. it was 100-50-100.. (confused it with my 450 settings)..my bad

correct me if im wrong, manual says on page 3, set mid th point between 50-80 for normal governor mode.

so.... y is it hiccuping?

http://aerospire.com/docs/manual_multigovpro.pdf

says linear 0-100 T curve normal
and 100 80 100 for idle ups.

you have a different manual than this?

nope. same one.

so does that mean, even though i dont govern my normal mode (because i set it below 500rpm), i must use 0 to 100 TC for normal mode? ive tried it before, clocked 2400 just hovering.

it doesnt exactly say 100-80-100 for idle ups.. it say 100-'50,80'-100

i will play around with the settings tommorow. just cant wait.. might try barracudahockey settings as well.. using limiter mode in normal mode with the 0-50-100 TC.

youre reading that graph wrong.. its 80% at 50% stick.

so yes that would be middle point in your curve to 80.

so on a DX7 it would be 100 inh 80 inh 100

Also you noted that with the set curves and the Multigov active you tached at 2400?

either your gear ratio is set wrong in the MGP or the gov isn't turned on.
mine set the same way is 100% right on the money to whats set on the multigov ie 1950 for hover.. etc..

i dont govern my normal mode. i could but i dont want to. im still trying to perfect my autorotation skills.. having it active in normal mode doesnt give me a linear spooling.

plus i use it to tune the low needle when i change muffler/plug/fuel..

no, my gear ratio is correct at 8.5 for trex600

and yes, i misinterpret the 50,80 bit..

i tink setting the mid at 50 is the culprit.. because i have the limiter on.. makes sense now.. to have 1950, my throttle would have to be at around 70%.. changing modes while under that value would not trigger the limiter..

thank you.
